Datsun, IRN (17 months): 110 grams

Audi, Fischers Lovebird (6 months): 40 grams

Chevy, Budgie (12 months): 38 grams

They have all had recent check ups and are in perfect health and weight for their age and size. :D

Mine were done at the vet but I will be getting digital kitchen scales and putting a perch on it so I can weigh them weekly at home.

Digi scales

Not that I would have a need for those around.... just happen to have some.

HA!

Baby and Dats weigh the same. I love Datsuns light green, soft look. Baby's dark emerald look is beautiful too but Datsun looks nicer lol. And real soft, like they actually are.

Baby is really starting to act like a boy in every way.

Buddy is a svelte 119, and Mazzie is 126 (and has been for YEARS except when she was injured, but she gained it back).

You can buy a digital scale at Walmart, just make sure it weighs in grams. Weight is a VERY key indicator of health... something every bird owner should be keeping close track of.

Remember... weigh the bird first thing in the morning, after the morning poo and before breakfast. That way you know an empty weight. If you do it at the same time every time you'll know for sure that fluctuations aren't from food or need to poddy.

Prinny is at 125 and the vet said that was just fine.

My little skinny thing :D

I guess there would be all kinds of reasons for fluctuations aswell. Fully flighted birds would probably be leaner than clipped walkers. Interesting to see the differences.

Yep, that holds true. Buddy is as big as Maz physically, but he flies.. she does not. ;)

Any unexpected or unexplained flux is the worry... like if your bird was 119 one week and 109 the next... you might want to figure out why.
