I have a question..My indian ringneck is blue and just a few weeks ago he started to have some red on one wing. I was not expecting this. Is this normal?? He is just under a year old. His birthday is April 4.

Welcome and greetings! Please do stay and perch awhile. Ask questions...we never tire of them. Post pics if you can!
(Hrm...I seem to be a welcome wagon here don't I?)

well, I'd check to see if it was bood or food.
If he does develop red in this area he could be an alexandrine Hybrid

Yuppers..
Hybrids is a bit of a controvercial topic. There are purists who get very upset when people breed hybrids. Generally people dont want Hybrids.

I think each bird is different as far as temprement goes.
Alexandrines are bigger birds and they have the red on the wings and a different head and beak shape. They look very similar but are a not-so-far-removed species.

hybrids are when any two different species of animal copulate and have offspring
tiger x lion = liger
horse x donkey = mule
white bass x striped bass=whiper
iv got a shamrock macaw wich is a scarlet x a blue & gold he is a hybrid
a ringneck hybrid sounds cool looking like a regular irn with some red on the shoulder?
