Hello, my name is Rob and I am new to the forums. I have a couple of questions I hope some of you can answer for me. I received a young IRN from a local breeder and have tried everything to tame "her" to no avail. I have had her about 8 months and she hasn't changed at all. She is beginning to talk and repeat things and I absolutely love hearing "her" but I don't have any hope that she will become tame and she is viscous to my other birds so I feel the best I can do is re-home her. My questions are: Due to her being a mutation (yellow head/tail with a green body) should I charge more than the usual amount for her? And my second question is: What exactly is this mutation called? I saw a bird on here almost exactly like "her" named "Dandilion" but couldn't locate the post to see what people said about the mutation. Any help is greatly appreciated! I am in Georgia if anyone is interested in purchasing "her".
Re: Kiwi
A vicious bird who won't get along with others and has no hope of being tamed probably really isn't worth all that much money, wouldn't you say?
Maybe you should think about what kind of new home would be best for the bird and start there. If you can't rehome her, you can send her here and I will find her a nice home, for free, amongst the members of my bird club. We have some great people.
