my fischers love birds have finally started laying eggs. so far 4 with th 5th on the way. my aunt heard and allready wants one i told her no problem but dont jinks it. when i saw 4 eggs in my irns nest i asumed 4 chicks and there were only 3.
and some more good news my finch chicks have started leaving the nest. so far the oldest 2 are out of it all day. they are still learning how to land and they fall over, its funny. and one of them lets me reach in and pet him and pick him up but i never take him out of the cage in fear of him trying to fly and getting hurt.
and the funniest thing i looked in the nest and saw there are 5 of them and all this time i thaught there was only 4. when i looked inside there where 3 little heads staring back and 2 chicks outside the nest
man i have to do some re-aranging now i have 10 finches, 2 fischers lovebirds(with 5 eggs), 5 irns, 2 african red bellies, a rosie bourk, a pearl cockatiel, and a shamrock macaw. its time to downsize
