wanting a pic of female ringneck please

hi recently i brought a green indian ringneck for my male. the guy said it was a female. i was wondering if any kind person out there had a pic of a female green indian ringneck that they could send me . i would be grateful. my email is in my profile.

You can check out
http://www.thomasriver.co.za/parrots/ for pictures of a green female. Your best bet is to have the bird sexed. Not only will it confirm the sex, it is helpful if you ever want to sell your birds. Hope this helps!

thanks for that jodie. alll iknow is this green ring neck is also smaller than my male and has shorter tail

Hi,
If the female is smaller than the male, I might would wait on pairing them. She might be a female, but she may not be old enough to breed. It is recommended a female not be breed until she is two. A two year old female is the same size of a mature male (body and tail length). A shorter tail means young in age unless the tail is frayed. If you see a visual difference in their size, I don't think she is old enough. If you breed her before two, she could die from egg binding. This is where she cannot pass the egg. I know this is not what you want to hear, but I would wait.

we were told from the guy that this ringneck is a year and a haf or so.
