O/T Jared missing...

Post by Mikaela »

Morning friends:

This is off topic but I have to share... get it out.

This morning, as every morning, I get up and make my way around the house to check on all of my Babies. To get my coffee in me, I make it in the process so I actually check on my fids first. :? Thats something I will handle in therepy hehe.

Well, Baby Punkin and Chief have been sleeping in my room because as luck would have it, we got a cold snap (hi 60's at night) just as I had decided it was warm enough to stay on the lania.

Grrr I am so verbose sorry! Anyway, I didnt have to check on my fids because they are right beside the bed right now so down the hall I go.

I always start with Matthew because he is 17 and well, enough said there. I look in his room at night more than the babies, literally. But really, if I was your Mom would you try me? tee hee And he dont. Brought him in this world! I'll take him out!

So next door is my heart... Baby Jared. I peek in and no Jared. I think 'silly boy' and begin looking in everyones bed, closets, then I started getting very upset and looking in odd places. At this point I wasnt really thinking but had gone into freak-mode auto-pilot. I then began remembering all of the kids here in Florida that are being stolen from their rooms and by this time I am outside screaming JARED BABY SAY SOMETHING. Completely freaking out.

My husband comes outside and thinks I have lost my mind and then realizes the baby is missing. We are both freaking. Bare in mind, this is 4:45 am because I dont sleep well.

In auto-pilot I sit down on the couch and grapped a pillow that was there, I reckon I was going to hold it and think... try to get it together.

I picked up that pillow and their was my baby. Sleeping like a precious angel. How he was able to hide like that under that pillow is beyond me. Coincidence? He must have woken up during the night, came into the living room to watch the 'big tv' and got cold... covered himself with a pillow and fell asleep.

I dont feel stupid, I feel relieved. Thankful. Ok, a little stupid but he was under a pillow! You wouldnt have seen him either.

Mikaela firstly i got to give u a big hug. Hun i av had exactly the same thing happen to me with my son Leon who's now 12. He was a tot a the time. But it was the worst 6 or 7 minutes of my entire life. Im so relived for you . Im sure i never breathed while i read your post, not till the last few lines. Im still feeling a little sick. We have all seen your baby Jared and he has the cutest baby face . So please ensure in future that u chain him to his bed, or better still havent u got a spare cage lol. [my archie still gets in with me] which is bad i know but my other 2 did it and they stopped.[ Although in december when we had the buncefield oil depot explosion there was five in my bed] Anyway hun thank goodness it was ok,Natalie xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

It was awful. If you ever lost Dats for a second, I know you know the feeling.

I have lost sight of Matthew when he was a baby for a second but never enough time to actually 'look for him'.

I was frantically searching. Awful feeling. We have extra locks on his windows because babies are being stolen from their beds at night here so of course after a reasonable amount of searching thats where my mind went.

I compleatly understand, when my daughter was 2 I couldn't find her either, and this was in the middle of the night. Totally freaked out...think I woke up the whole street looking. Eventually found her under her bed.....she was sound asleep with her hand tucked between the bed slats and the mattress straight up in the air...Wierd......she did it for a couple of weeks then stopped. But I tell you, it was pure terror not being able to find her, will never forget it.

Terror. Thats the word. Terror.

No worse than if being chased with a chainsaw through the woods.

You hit it on the head. Shear terror.

I know all too well the panick feeling you get once a few seconds of calm thought has gone by and come up with no explanation. That wave of cold sweat, like all the blood draining out of you so that adrenaline can take over. Those moments when you can't find them, or you know they just took off on their bike and you hear a car screach, or when they take a fall and instead of the ear piercing scream you get dead silence.

The worst moment happened to me with my eldest when she was only just 3 or so. Her aunty was pushing her on a swing that we had over the dirt area of the backyard of a house we lived about 5 moves back. She pushed her too way too high, which ended up in her toppling off backwards (jordan has just climbed up onto my fingers while I am typing and insists on staying there, lol, must like the ride, hehe, now he is biting at the keys, thinks its great fun bouncing around on my hand while I type) anyway, she toppled off backwards onto a concrete area, that she normally would never reach being pushed slowly like we do. She hit the concrete flat on her back, an almighty CRACK !! (her head) and dead silence, then her auntie screaming for us. It feels like the blood rushes out of you, your heart sinks, and when you get there and see lifeless child, your legs just give way and so does your composure. aweful! .. She had a fractured skull but recovered well and I do blame myself, I should have been there.

Mik I am sooooooo glad you found him , its times like this that reaffirm our deep love for our kids. Cuddle him and be ever thankful for him.

WARNING: graphic

My brother was getting ready for work and his wife left for the day. They live way out in the country and country boys are very curious.

My brother hopped in the shower and replied 'Yes' but dont get dirty' to Nicholas after he asked to go play before they left. My brother had nothing to worry about, they lived in the country, knew everyone, it was a regular day.

I told my brother a few times 'Man, I dont like that rope hanging from that tree like that. Too many things could happen'. An old tire use to be tied to it as a swing. It was written off as me being an over-protective freak, as usual. This is the really hard part.

My brother was dressing and calling for Nickie as he was doing so but he wasnt coming. He looked out the back door to find my nephew, his son hanging from that tree. He had climbed it and somehow got the rope around his neck and fell. Or maybe saw it on a movie. We'll never know.

Its not that bad to be overly cautious. We have these feelings for a reason.

I know I wouldnt mess with a chick with a baton.

Never know when my PMS is going to kick in but ya'll have gotten a tiny taste of how it can be.

I'd PMS on that dude and wack his brains out on sight just for THINKING about hurting my baby. But, then again, they keep me heavily sedated so dont take advice from me concerning stomping a mudd puddle in someones **** cuz Im baaad for it, if situation calls for such.

I bet you the kids Mom has dashed down my drive way and into her car to lock the doors TWICE as fast as Lance. He would be like 'I want some of what she is taking' lol Love running that trash off. If I was her, I would kick my butt from one end of the street to the other but she doesnt. No respect for herself. If someone that had not seen their kids for months popped up at 12:30 at night to see them would you run them off? Come back when you dont reak of liqour and the sun is shining. Not to much to ask.

And being a red-neck not saying good morning to me is enough to constitute a good ol fashion hickory switch whoppin.
