Eye color question

Hi, I've been a member for a while but have been without an IRN so have not been active. Well, I brought home a grey I was told is about 1 year old, his/her band has a 12 on it so I'm sure s/he hatched last year. The reason I'm writing is because this bird has dark eyes. I looked closely and it seems the eye color is maybe a grey or blue. ?? I can't find anything online that talks about dark eyes. Any thoughts/ideas?

I'm also a new ringneck owner, but as far as I know, young ringnecks tend to have dark/black eyes. The whites of the eyes don't start showing much until they get older.

At the youngest this bird is at least close to a year old and could be close to 2 years old. I was told about a yr and the band has a 12 on it. I'll research to see at what age they change but I've had younger and I'm sure their eyes had already changed, maybe I'm just remembering wrong.
. Interesting.
