sleeping on the cage wall

Hi everyone im new to this site and glad to find a website that talks about IRN. I have pair of IRN's they are not tame and I think they r afraid of dark or I could be wrong, they sleep on the cage wall whenever I turn the light off. Sometimes I have to becuz they keep keep screaming and mKe noises, so is it normal to sleep on the cage wall?? Thanx if u read this and tell me what to do.

I suppose if that's where they want to be it's fine. My bird has napped while doing the splits between two windows.. and doing the splits in a corner of his cage
