My partner and I have just bought a 4 week old IRN. We have not even had him a week as yet. We are very new to hand rearing. I was wondering if you guys could give us a few hints on how things should be done. How often should he be fed? and when we have fed him, he still squawks but refuses to eat and we are unsure of what is wrong.

I am moving this to the Breeding section as breeders will be more likely to see this here.

I can also point you to this post which should be useful:

It's a really important time, birds that get inappropriate nutrition early on can have health problems for the rest of their lives, so it's good you are seeking to do your best by your bird, which is why in some countries it is illegal for breeders to sell unweaned birds.

Best wishes.
