My ringnecks have me very confused

Can anyone who has been breeding ringnecks for awhile give me their opinion on something? I bought 2 blue ringnecks which I was told at the store that they were bonded and were male and female. So I put them together in their own cage and a seperate cage was bought for their buddy also bought from there, a male lutino. Now I know he is a male because he has the dark red ring.
Anyway, as I was cleaning the cages, I put the blue ones in the cage with the lutino and what happened really throwed me. One of the blue ones that I thought was the male, went up to the lutino and started to get close to him. A little while after it appeared that they were kissing or something but were not in any way fighting. They are even eating together The other blue one went on her way and sat up in the swing the entire time. The one blue one with the lutino began to preen him and the two seem to becoming very close. Is it possible for 2 males to act this way toward the other? I sent the feathers off for sex verification but haven't gotten them back yet . I am not sure which is which anymore and if I am going to breed them I certainly need to know
Someone please help.
