Interesting blue mutation. Any thoughts on what we have.

Hey everyone. We just recently got our little baby from a lady who just didn't have the time for him. We believe he is somewhere around 6 weeks. Consequently his plumage isn't super but I was wondering even though they are still coming through what your thoughts are on colourings. His head seems to be a duck egg blue, wings are a mix of green/blue/yellow/grey and his tail (what there is of it) is blue/green/grey. His beak is also a pale-ish orange but I'm guessing that will change as he matures. I'm referring to it as a 'he' but we actually don't know for sure yet, it's just easier to write. Skye is going to upload the pics to this post for me as I'm too new to upload any yet
Any thoughts would greatly appreciated.

Looks like it could be a Violet TurquoiseBlue Cinnamon, however pics are not the best.
Try and get some outside in natural light

Clear flights - i'm thinking Edged as well.
Cinnamon would just make the flights brown
so as Shey said TurquoiseBlue Cinnamon + Edged?

I'm going with Violet Turq?blue SL edged (possibly cinnamon as well?). But edged for sure.

Forgive me but what does SL stand for? I've also seen SF before. I'm pretty new to this mutation stuff
He is a very beautiful colour but hopefully that will shine through when he gets some healthier feathers. I will try and get some pics in better light, they were just some quick snaps off my phone, I'll get my SLR out today and take better ones.

SL = sex linked
SF = single factor

sl or sex linked is the way in which the color or trait was inherited. There is also recessive, and dominant.
sf or single factor means the bird is carrying a single copy of a mutation gene from the parents. DF or double factor would mean the bird was carrying two copies of the mutation gene. For example you will see this used when describing the color violet blue. There is sf violet blue and DF violet blue

Makes perfect sense thanks guys. Moving on from that, what are the visual differences between a single factor and a double factor? Ie how can you tell from looking at photos what is single and what is double, etc.

I shall get some better ones up as soon as I can, the light is pretty poor here today, it feels like winter already! Watch this space...
