OMG what is it?

Hey guys,
I thought bailey was molting but now im not too sure, i was trying to rub him today and he put his head up...AND he was completely bold under his neck and abit further down!!! i have never seen this before...also i noticed that the feathers on his head are like spiky? and to top it all off looks like his lil eyelashes and well like gone spiky too?
any ideas what it is? or is he just molting?

The spiky (pin) feathers sounds very normal for a moult, but the completely bald part doesn't sound right to me , unless you can see some pin feathers coming on. I would keep a close eye on it or even get a vet check up just to be safe.

One of the more experienced breeders of the site should be along shortly with better info for you.

Do remember though, during molts to make sure their diet is tip top and they get extra foods for feather building like, extra beans, or boiled egg with shell etc.

Also Bathe or spray them daily with plain warm water. This will help alleviate some of the itchiness your baby may experience during this time.

maybe he is itching alot ? causing the bald patches ?

If it looks wose than an actual molt get the vet to check for mites or the like.

Thanks for all ur help guys, i will get him checked out when i take him to the vet to get his nails cut! thanks alot
