Do IRN's molt in patches?
I've noticed my goomba, named Bebe, a male ~3yo seems to molt in patches. Two molts ago the feathering on top of his head got really thin and I thought I was petting/rubbing him too much; during last years molt the feathering at his crop region was really thin and the Vet said he was plucking. I disagreed 'cause Bebe just wasn't acting like a self plucker. This year the molt patch (thin feathering) is at his nape just below his ring, smack dab where he nuzzles his beak when he rests. The downy feathers are never disturbed and the feathering comes back beautifully and I'm not concerned at this point because he's a happy little guy and in great health.
But still I gotta ask: Do IRN's (parrots in general) molt in patches?

It's possible that sometimes some parts can moult more or at least be more noticable in some areas than others. If it doesnt seem to affect the bird I wouldnt worry about it too much. Or During a moult if one place is rubbed a bit more it could make the other feathers nearly ready to moult fall out a little earlier.
