Hey,
Can someone please explain to me or give me a link that explains the difference between dominant and recessive pied?
I am planning to buy the recommended books I've seen on this forum soon, but I the suspense is killing me ;p

Re: pied
The difference lies in the inheritence pattern. Dominant pied is an incomplete dominant mutation and rec. pied as the name says is a rec. mutation.InTheAir wrote:Hey,

For dom. pied you only need one bird carrying the mutated gen to breed new dom. pieds among the offspring. For rec. pied both parents must carry atleast one mutated rec. pied gen. Furthermore most rec. pied males (ADM rec. pied) don't get a neckring but dom. pied do.
These are the big main differences.
