Hi all!

My husband and I just acquired our beautiful Blue IRN, Emmie, two weeks ago from a great breeder. She turned 3 months old yesterday and is just a delight. My husband had a Conure a few years ago, who passed away, and Emmie is my first bird ever.

I am having an absolutely wonderful time with our new baby. She seems to have bonded very closely to me and loves to be near me whenever she can. She steps up with ease and even allows me to give her kisses on her back and on the top of her head. She bites a little bit, but I just chalk it up to her settling in and getting used to being handled. She eats well and has enjoyed some cooked broccoli and peas as well as her pellet/seed mix from the breeder. She is also very vocal and I'm hoping she'll be a good talker when she gets older.

I just got her a very large cage and put lots of toys in for her. She loves to chew on them and just seems to be an all-around happy little girl.

hi.i could use a little bit of advive.i rescused a a ringneck from a frozen perch 2 years ago.hes male.i think hes 5.i rescued another parakeet that wss brought to me.looked nothing like him.i thought i was getting him a wife.they was definetly not going to luv each other.but were one went the other followed.different rooms they called to each other.the little one slept with me.i have a very fat dog.(im disabled i cant roll over).she got flattened.beep is now ripping wallpaper and wrecking the house.does it matter what sort of parakeet i find him.male female young old?
