Hi everybody,hope to get some information here....I have a baby ring neck COOKIE 2 months old ,for most of the times whenever I'm going to touch him or call him he Jst meows ....don't know why he is doing this ...is he happy or not although I take every care of him..

This is normal for such a young ringneck. My Janey did it after I brought her home. Your bird will eventually stop this as s/he matures. I miss that behaviour now.

It's the same sort of noises your bird would make for its parents.

It's ok. My baby mews too. It sometimes sounds really sad, but don't worry. You can look up videos of baby IRNs on youtube... most of them make this same sound. That'll put you at ease.

My vet said that is "cooing" and it's a sound of affection. They do that to their parents so take it as a compliment that your baby is talking to you directly. Sometimes it sounds pitiful, but it's a sweet thing.
