Bobby just took food from my open hand. Inside his cage, first he was so nervous... up down, up down, but he did it. The second time, he was still a bit scared, he tested my finger, which scared him as it wasn't the carrot, lol. Then he came back after a mo for the carrot. I am so happy... he's awesome. 
Now, just got to get him to do it without being as scared, and then to get him to do it in front of hubby so he believes me.
We've had him just over 3 weeks. I can't believe what a little character he is.

just be consistent and stick with him. Sounds like he is a super smart bird.
