10 weeks or older??

Hi all

I purchased a baby African ringneck yesterday and was told he was 10 weeks from a local petshop who have a good reputation so I didn't query this.
however Now I look at him he seems to look exactly like an adult so I was wondering could he be older than they thought? he is happily eating on his own and whilst a bit timid seems to quite happily watch us from afar.
unable to upload a photo as it says my post looks too spamy when trying to link but I hope someone could show me what a 10 week old looks like?

I'm no expert on this, but is there a date on his leg band? Has he got a ring around his neck? These two would be certain ways to tell if he is not a baby.

hes not got a leg band and no ring round the neck :S

I don't have an African...I have an indian...but here he is at 12 weeks as a reference
