hi my budgies always have eggs,
then when the eggs hatch i find the chicks dead
Its not sitting tigth because their are eggs with the chicks
and its not other budgies killing them because i kept them in a breeding cage. :?:

My cockatiel had a similar problem. She laid all her eggs on the floor. Sat on them. And when the chicks hatched she never fed them or sat on them to keep them warm. Unfortunatly one died and I hand raised the other one.
Some birds make bad parents or arent experienced. I would suggest not breeding with that pair of birds. Take out the nesting box and if she keeps laying eggs on the floor and sitting on them, take the birds out and put them somewhere else like maybe an aviary.
