As long as you really do your research on the breeder and find out as much as you can about the babies I'm sure everything will be fine if you do go ahead and get another baby. Let us know when you decide

Mia,
How fun is that going to be?? They are sooooooooooo cute!!! I'm jealous! Wish I could've found my babies that young. So next month you will get the baby?? Keep us posted with pics and video! Do you think Kalle will be ok? Well you have a lot of other birds, so he probably will be. Enjoy!

Lisa,
That's going to be so much fun! You guys must live close and you can compare babies and visit each other. That will be so neat. Another board member has a sibling of my Remmi but he doesn't live close to me at all. But we stay in touch on the board. Well enjoy your new baby. Got a name picked out yet? I love your other birds names!

You think nr 3 is a boy?? Thanks a lot

, but the color is it going to be split blue and not lutino and not grey and albiono? I can´t much about this colors

..

All Greens will be split to both blue and lutino and will be Cocks
All Lutino will be split blue and will be Hens
Genetics can be a very complicated subject, so don't worry if you don't understand, myself and a few others can always help you out. Basically, a bird cannot be split to Grey as it is a co-dominant mutation. Also, they cannot be split to Albino.

Why is it only green males?? Is it dominate or what?? I´m been thinking alot about this

I been reading about genetic about budgier but not IRN, I´m been breeding budgier..
Is it some colors that is tied (wrong word

) too the sex?? I know it is that whit the budgier..
I think it is very fun whit genetic, but I can´t much about it

So if I'm reading this right, ALLgreen IRN's are MALES? Is that what I'm understanding?

No it was in this combination it only could be green males
This is what I found about ino, is it because of this the babies are split to blue??
Albino (Combination of Blue and Ino)
Inheritance: Combination of recessive Blue and sex-linked recessive Ino.
And I also found that green is dominant. Is ino sex-linked for hens in this pairings??

I didn't think I could be reading that correctly! Bummer! Thought maybe that would mean my Remmi is a little boy. Then I remembered Dats, and we think she's a she and she's green too. So... What is "ino"?

by Dani03
"ino" means ones like albino or lutino or creamino any type of coloring that ends with "ino"

Ino is sex linked, so if the father is carrying the ino gene and the mother isn't, all the baby Cocks will be split ino and all the hens will be visually ino.
Lutino Cockx Green Hen
=Green/Lutino Cocks
=Lutino Hens
Green/Lutino Cock x Green Hen
=Green Cocks
=Green/Lutino Cocks
=Green Hens
=Lutino Hens

Ino is a gene that serves to remove psittacin from the birds feathers, it also removes pigment in the skin and eyes.
Lutino = Green Ino (yellow bird, pink feet, clear toenails, red eyes)
Albino = Blue Ino (white bird, pink feet, clear toenails, rey eyes)
Creamino = Parblue Ino (white/yello bird, pink feet, clear toenails, red eyes)
There are other combinations with Ino such as Pallidino etc but i won't go into them

Good grief! How do you keep it all straight?? Jeez, didn't know this was so complicated! Wow! Glad I'm not planning on breeding. I wouldn't have a clue what I was doing. But heck, I go thru most of life without a clue. Tee hee!
