Funny story about my Nanday Conure.........

Hi all, the other day I moved Emmy's cage (my Nanday Conure) across the room from where it was, because I had her cage sitting next to my couch and as soon as the cage door was opened she would get onto the couch and poop. So I moved her cage across the room so it is now sitting next to nothing she can get onto, however she is now future away from the action and she is feeling lonely. Last night I had her cage opened and she was happily playing on the cage top gym for about an hour. All of a sudden we see her walking across the floor toward us. My husband (who by the way is her favorite person) was sitting on the loveseat rebandaging his leg (he cut himself the other day on a broken glass – it doesn’t look pretty, but MEN trying to get them to the doctor is next to impossible! He just insisted on getting those surgi-strips and fixing it himself!) so anyway his sweatpants were down around his knees, well Emmy walks right up to him and climbed onto his foot. She sat there a few minutes and then started climbing up his sweat pants leg. The next thing we knew, here is Emmy sitting inside the crotch of my husbands sweatpants like it was a nest! Once he was finished bandaging his leg Emmy did not want to get out! He had to turn his sweatpants inside out to get her out of them! We were laughing hysterically and Emmy and Tiki (our Indian Ringneck) started laughing right along with us, which made us laugh even harder! This morning Emmy once again climbed down from the top of her cage and walked across the floor to my husband. When I was leaving for work and to take our daughter to school my husband follows us to the door and I look back and here comes Emmy walking right behind him saying “Bye Bye, Bye Bye!” I swear she is one very smart bird!
