Babies in nest?

I am new at this and when I hung the nest box in the cage, the top became unaccessable. It wasn't possible to put the box on the outside because of the construction of the cage. What a dummy. My female has been in the box for quite a while, usually coming out only to eat (after I have put food in cage). She is now, last 3 days, coming out of the box immediately while I am putting in food and she is agressive towards me. Could I have babies now? I can't hear any noise from the box and I have also noticed the male is going in the box after the light are turned out. Is he helping to keep the chicks warm or just wanting to "get off his feet" after a long day?

It is possible you have babies, but when my pairs have babies, it is very noticeable. The babies are extremely vocal especially when being fed
It is possible at all to get the box down and have a look?

she could just be making a nest or there could be eggs or maybe babies

I now know there is at least 1 chick (Mom came out of box with downy feather on beak) in the box. Since I placed the box so high in the cage that I can't open the box to check the chick, if I placed it lower in the cage or on the cage bottom, would this possibly upset the mom? She appears to be using a lot of energy climbing down to the fruit and veggies and then climbing back up to the box. The cage height is about 4 1/2 feet high.

The down feather on her beak could have easily have come from her, it doesn't suggest there is a baby in there. If there is a baby, there is a chance that she is plucking it.
You have to get the nest down and have a look

u sed that she has been comming out only to eat. thats behavior they use before the eggs hatch as well as after and even before they lay eggs the feather was probubly her own they have to preen wether they are nesting or not and they use feathers in the nest i have seen lots of feathers in my birds nest. plus after the first few hours u can here the chicks. id say at best u have eggs, and u should take the nest down and look in it then mount it a little lower so u can inspect it easier later what about the male is he going inside to feed the female? he should be
