Having recently purchased a ringneck parrot of my own I have been looking at this forum for weeks, gaining so much great advice that i finally decided to become a part of it myself My name is Tracy and I'm from the beautiful island of Barbados. My feathered friend is Jojo, a handsome young ringneck male. This is the first time I have owned a bird like this. I have had two lovebirds in the past that were just a joy. So I decided to go a bit bigger this time and just have him. I'm sure I'm going to come back here regularly and participate in discussions. So just saying Howdy! and glad to be here!!

I'm new here as well and have 3 breeding pairs and one tame one, I am hoping to get a blue male soon handraised as my pet what colours yours? Welcome and hope you enjoy this group as much as me it's a great joy to learn all about these birds! The 3 breeding pairs I have are: 1) pastel violet lacewing cock x skyblue hen 2)indigo violet hen x indigo violet cock 3)blue cock x dark blue hen (not sure what she is, she is darker than the normal blue and lighter than the violet) have fun with your new feathered friend

Hi! Great to meet you CMG! Mine is a green ringneck, not as exotic in the colouring. Kudos for the breeding! I could only imagine how much work goes into that. I just sat for a whole hour trying to get my guy to take millet from my hand and it finally happened, i was overjoyed!

Hahah they take convincing but mine eats it because so does his cage mate a whiteface pied cockatiel! I just love to watch and talk to them, my ringneck is only semi tame but just as interesting!

Hi triggerbug, welcome. I also have a green now and can't think of any other colour at the moment. One day i'll buy my Kiwi a friend but not sure on the colour. I think i'll just take a look at few birds and take the one that is meant for me. My first one was a buttercup ringneck, yellow. Good luck and many happy days with your baby.
