Different green IRN'S

When I was picking up a couple of new birds from jack smiths I noticed he had some different colour blue and greens, they wernt cinnamons or pallids. They referred to them as another type of green/blue but I can't seem to remember what it was. My grandfather grabbed a couple of them so I uploaded a photo to see if anyone can advise me of what mutation they are, the greens have a yellowish tinge with a lighter yellowish head.

How can you distinguish if it is a dilute or not?
Someone referred to it as a palehead

I reckon dilute green / blue. Sincerely doubt it is a pallid.

I can guarantee it isn't a pallid, the blues definitely show that it isnt a pallid, i cant upload a photo of them as we only took the green ones. I am thinking it is a dilute, one of them has light blue in its tail feathers any idea on that?

It is not a pallid nor is it a dilute. I would go for cinnamon

What do we know about inheritance? If sex-linked I will still go for cinnamon. If recessive with red eye I will go for “fallow”. The colour is to much mustard for a dilute. See the hen in the link of the original message. Dilute is more yellow.
Stefan I think this is almost the same as the “fallow in Germany”
I will take a picture of a dilute hen and post it tomorrow.

Thanks Recio
Now if you look at the pics of the original message and compare the flight feathers of “different green” hen with the dilute hen you will clearly see the difference.

It looks similar to the dilute you put up, but there are the subtle differences such as the flight feathers. The green doesn't standout at as much in the IRN in the original photo I posted either, and the head is a lighter yellow but that could just be due to the different photo and camera settings etc..

When looking at the actual bird it is easily visible that it isn't a lacewing.
If only I could get the genetic history, but I suppose then if I did I'd have the answer anyway because one of the parents was the same.

Are the feet of the cock lightish grey, or pink?

I'm not sure, they are very light grey I think with almost clear nails.

It is an IndigoBlue not TurquoiseBlue judging by the white neck ring and a smallish psitticin patch.

If greyish, I'd stick with dilute.

Another view of the bird in question:
So i think now it's clearer what kind of mutation he is.

No dilute. But for my eyes he isn't a poor cinnamon as well. The head looks strange.

Sorry for my late response, you are correct. It is a dark indigoblue clearheaded fallow. Strange almost all of my indigoblue birds are split fallow or fallow.

We have decided to test breed them to see what traits they are carrying, but it's still hard without having a base to go from, we are going off greencinn/ino but if anyone has a different opinion of what it may be then it would be much appreciated.

The second pic seems almost like a different bird.

Now the chest area esp. shows the slight brownish wash. Well spotted from the first pic, Tienie!
Youngspud, when you say split ino, do you mean sex-linked ino? You would breed some very nice hens from that.

Yes I would assume it would be sex-linked ino, we will just have wait and see with the babies

I have a couple of updated photos, one of the cocks has turned out looking more like an ino cinnamon as it has the clear nails, body is goldy yellow with yellow head but it has blue in its tail?
One looks like a darker cinnamon and the other still has both the green/yellow mixed wash across the body.
The darker one which I will upload a photo of has green on the front of the head and has yellow dots across the back, with browny patches on the wings, the flight feathers have gotten alot darker.

Yep sure looks that way now,
One of the brothers bred an Ino hen last year but that's all the history I could gather.

That one looks darker as a whole, id say it would be a grey-green as it looks like my greygreen just lighter.
