Foods or tips to improve an Indian Ringneck's color?
I recently got a 3 month old male indian ringneck and he is doing well, There is no problem with his feathers or beak color. He seems to be a healthy bird and i understand the diet and what foods develop a heathy bird.
But out of curiosity, i am wonder if there are some specific types of fruits/ veggies, or just some tips/tricks that will make my bird more vibrant and have a brighter red beak , like the one in the banner for indianringneck.com.
Thanks in advance

its only my observation others can disagree. always Use fresh fruit and vegetables and offer some high quality mix seed and change the water daily form the cage. 2nd bathing is a essential for good color, you need to set a schedule for this. Last but not least keep a positive behavior with the birds.... you will get good result

I found that Hane's beak and feathers became brighter after his first moult. That bird in the banner is mature and yours is still a little youngling so it will take some time for those beautiful colours to appear.
In my own experience I noted a definite difference in beak colour when Hane is eating lots of veggies and fruits vs seed/pellets- it is much more vibrant when he eats mostly veggies and fruits.

That's what I thought, that maybe he's just young and maturity will brighten him up.
I have a question for anyone reading this ,
Will giving my bird for sunlight make him more vibrant? Like will the vitamin d or ultra violet rays improve color and overall make a healthier coat. I guess in a sense, tanning.

Literally right after I posted that , my bird was hanging out on my shoulder while I was cooking , and my mom opened my kitchen door and he flew away.
So mad.
So mad.

I searched for hours today with my neighbors. No luck. His wings are clipped but he still took off . He is really young and kind of timid so he doesn't make a sound , and when he is scared, which im sure he is. he hides. Unfortunely where I live there are a million thick trees and bushes . Like I said I searched for hours with no trace of him . I did put his cage out in a visible spot . Visible if he is even somewhat near my house . He flew away at 11am today. It is now 10 at night . I live in Southern California in OC . It gets like 40 degrees at night . Do you think he will survive the night?

Ah I'm so bummed and frustrated .
That does make me feel better though that he will at least be okay with the weather..
Hopefully he comes back.
I'm printing flyers right now. Poor little guy doesn't even know what he got himself into.
Thank you for the helpful response. This blog takes a little bit of stress away.
