I have recently brought an Indian Ringneck, I know it hasn't been long since I have had Griffon but I did make some progress last night. He would sit on my finger and let me pat him, but the next morning he was flying away from me again. I made quite a bit of progress the other night but it seems like Griffon has forgotten, do you have any suggestions and is this normal? Thanks

Hi phoenixrising,
HE might have a mood swing, or he might have seen/heard something that disturbed him. Just be patient.
Missk,
I think you are mentioning about roosting. Normally in the evening wild birds gather in flocks and sort of communicate with each other. They are very vocal then and you can say its the time when they socialize with their flock. In case of pet birds they consider us (humans they live with) as their flocks and so are more receptive in the evenings at the time of roosting.
I think this is what you wanted to say.

Hi Missk,
According to me this roosting thing is more applicable in the wild than with pet birds. I have seen pet birds adjust to the timings of their family. So its ok if you cant spend time with rocky in evenings, just make up for the same in the morning and all will be well. My birds are more receptive in the morning, but they are still very young to be sure about it. Maybe in another month i might know their exact roosting time.
