Does your ringneck like to cuddle?

I heard something about ringnecks that they do not like to cuddle or be touched on their backs ):
Is that true?

it is False. IRNs do cuddle but not like a macaw or cockatoo. But we must accept, every individual has a different personality.

Our ringneck loves to cuddle up if we take a nap. He gets his little chest down on yours and falls asleep. If you scratch the right part of his head (which changes on a daily basis) he puts his head to the side and snuggles down like a baby. If you want to get up before him he tries to pretend there is no hand trying to lift him up and snuggles down harder

Our female, Janey, will beg for us to pat her... although sometimes she'll turn around and give you a nip as you do it.. which keeps you on your toes. Charlie, our male, looks affronted if I try to pat him, except when I'm patting Janey and then he will usually accept it a little.

My guy is extremely temperamental! I have to ask permission before I can pat/cuddle him. Sounds crazy I know but he'll pin his eyes in a warning if he's not in the mood and if he is, he'll lift his wing for me to "tickle".

Our two year old female IRN was an adoption. She came from a less than ideal home and had a lot of trauma and trust issues that we had to work through. Three months later, and she asks to be petted, ticked and snuggles regularly. Give it time

I'm sure Sanjay thinks cuddles are for wusses, Since I surprised him a few Weeks ago he is on the defence 24/7!.
