Hi All,
I'm about to become an IRN owner for the first time. I have owned and breed budgies nearly all my life, but this is the first time that I will be taking on a larger bird. I say larger because they are larger than budgies, I know they are small for parrots.
I'm about to adopt a 5 year old IRN called Mr Jones. He has had a life of being passed from one owner to the next, but we intend to give him a permanent residence with us. My cousin currently owns him and she breeds cockatiel's and her aviary is a bit of a dumping ground for peoples unwanted birds. When we were at her place over Christmas she introduced us to Mr Jones and we couldn't stop speaking about him and before we knew it, we were asking if we could adopt him.
I'm looking forward to when Mr Jones moves in with us in a couple of weeks and we can start getting to know each other and start his training to tame him down.
