Uh-oh! Help!

Hi guys my names Darrcie, I'm new to the forum although for the past few months this is where I gather information to help me tame my IRN.
My IRNs name is Tajj, and I'm unsure of.. Tajj's gender.
I bought him/her from a breeder three weeks ago, who said Tajj was just weeks out of the nest.
This morning, while half asleep in bed, not moving much, finally Tajj is making some bird chatter, even to her/himself! Have been waiting to hear this - When all of a sudden I hear a clear "Thankyou". I had not started to try to get her to mimic me at all, thinking she was too young still.
I love my bird dearly already, and would do anything to make Tajj happy and comfortable.. but I think I might be dealing with an older bird here? Did the guy just sell me one of his IRNs to get rid of it :/
Any insight from you guys to this idea I proposed that might be the reality of the situation would be great.. I need help.
OH. And twice since Tajj has been home and I've worked up a small bond with her (can hand feed but she's wary) I've been half asleep in bed and Tajj will flap from the top of the cage onto my back, or near my head. I have no idea what could even be going through her head when she does this.. is she testing me or something?
ANY help or advice no matter how small, would help me. (will post picture of her later)
