I've had sunny about 5 months and I work with him everyday trying to get him to talk. I handle him several hours a day and he is just now opening his mouth trying to get something to come out.. he watches my mouth and listens to me talk. Is this normal, for him to open his mouth big and try to talk?

My male IRN is over 5 years old and has never spoken a word, but he does open his mouth really wide before he sings or squacks. I'm not sure if yours is trying to talk or not, but mine opens his mouth wide before noise comes out so possibly a good sign.
