my baby is adicted to chocolate

Post by gogga »

So my indain ringneck parakeet is now almost 3 years old and she's a happy, healthy active free flying bird, the only time she's in her cage is when she is sleeping. My problem is that she's adicted to human food, anything my mum eats she wants to taste, my mum is very carefull never to let her eat avocado. But my mum is a chocoholic and every now and then gogga will steal a bite of chocolate, is chocolate really that bad for them?

My understanding is there is something in chocolate that can be toxic so I think you should stop him from eating it anymore.

Perhaps if you also start stealing your mom's chocolate she will learn to protect it better and then your bird will not have any opportunity to get in trouble with this.
