TAIL FEATHERS- how many are there supposed to be?

Hi all,
Might sound like a silly question, (still learning what we can about IRNs), but how many tail feathers are IRN's supposed to have? I just did a quick google search to try and find out, but didn't have any luck...
I only ask, as the pictures I've seen of others seem to have more than one.....and yet our pretty boy only HAS one! Is this an indication of anything? Perhaps he has recently molted, or lost them...and they haven't yet grown back?
Hopefully it's all quite normal, and there's a logical explanation??
