I live in NC. We built an aviary for my 5 year old female IRN this spring where she has lived through the summer. I put her in a small cage at night and she sleeps in the garage to allow her to sleep atleast 10 hours (she was getting consistently cranky with less sleep from the early morning light and late days) For the last two days I have left her in her aviary It reached 60 last night and is the same right now. I went to give her dinner and she was proostered up and not steady. I took her in right away and warmed her up and gave her apple(which is high in glucose and her favorite) she is doing much better now but now i am concerned with temps to keep her in. What temperatures are ok for IRNs? This is her first fall and winter in an aviary and apparently I went about it in the wrong way.
