Hello everyone. My 2 irn's are finally at breeding age. This season we have put in a breeding and keeping everything crossed. So now I have a question. Today Star our female has been in box all day and will not leave, I even opened hatch to check she was in there & still wouldn't budge. Now Ive just noticed our male Ringo is in there also. Could they possibly be sitting on eggs????.

Maybe or she could be getting ready to lay eggs. Take a look if she will let you or wait till you see she is out the box and check then. The Hens do start to spend more time in the box when they are ready to lay and it is breeding time where you are.
