Forum to complain about your IRN's 'bad days'...

Post by Mikaela »

Baby is being such a er... 'B' :!:

Now I know how she feels on days I dont want to play. I'll be more sensitive to that.

She and I played this morning and everything was cool. I went out to show a house and came back and she wants nothing to do with me.

It hurts my feelings. Lil Ho. I wanna plaaaaay and all she'll do is puff up and ignore me.

I bet its because I have on long sleeves today but when I pushed them up, she still wouldnt come. Up her giggy, I'll play with my plants.

Having such a moody best friend sucks. :cry:

LOL, thats why you need more of them. ;)

Mazzie never turns down a chance to hang out with me, but the others can be grumpy on occasion. When Buddy is in a mood he just keeps flying off until I get the idea.

I always have someone to play with, and usually have at least 2 or 3 someones hanging out with me at a time ;)

Yuki is my magnet. Like my sunnies. I always have 3 or 4 someones on me. There would be more but then the first someones push the other someones off.
Man, If I go to the bathroom they all fly in and sit on the door, it's like a party everywhere I go. I dont really want them there but you cant just go slammin doors on them, might hurt them, they is reaaaall trixy about getting past the half closed door.
The fly full pelt through a 8 inch gap. At least with a clipped bird you can put it down and it stays down.. Sometimes my head and shoulders are busier than an international airport.

I am only alloted one more feathered friend. My husband says this isnt a zoo. Of course, I always have the option of putting him out but he is sorta cute too so Im torn.

Since I only have one, I am holding out for what I *think* I want... a cockatoo. But so many say such bad things about them. :cry:

So, I havent bought one yet. All I hear is they are loud loud loud. But I love them sooo much. They are so sweet and cuddly looking.

Cocktoo = :D

IRN = :evil:

lol

I give my baby boy a bad rap, he was a mean baby but not anymore. My husband complains everytime Baby and I kiss. He says "When that bird bites your lip off Im not paying for plastic surgery to get it fixed".

I pleasantly remind him that due to insurance, he is worth way more to me dead than alive so tread lightly and keep ya threats to a minimum. :wink:

Something else to think about is that when an Irn bites it hurts, when a too bites they can disfigure. Do you have the ability to allow the too out of cage time and keep it compleatly away from the kids? I have a Galah, and there is no way that I would ever let him be anywhere near my kids. Don't get me wrong he is gorgeous and I love him to bits, but it only has to happen once. And the mess!!!! the cockatoo dust gets everywhere.

I gotta mention that I get contacted about taking cockatoos all the time. They are one of the birds people most commonly end up relinquishing, because they expect the sweet bird and get a real bird.

My very best friend is actually in the middle of rehoming her male U2. She's had him for over 2 years, and even with my help he's a monster. He's broken her fingers, attacked her randomly, and the last time I went to visit he dove 4 ft off his stand to attack my arm because I walked by. He is a pissed off male U2 without a mate who takes it out on the humans around him. And the screaming... it is horrible. His bites are no joke, the attack from across the room left me with 2 huge punctures and a bruise all the way from my shoulder to my elbow.

I love Ceebee, she is our baby, our dumpling and our angel, but I know that cockatoos have the potential to be monsters. We'll live with her even if she turns into one because we have commited to do so, but we work hard every day to foster habits in her that prevent that kind of behavior.
