Ringneck bluffing

With reference to this article http://www.indianringneck.com/bluffing/. It is said that the bird beads its eyes when bluffing.

One of my birds tilts its head upwards and beads its eyes, I see this as an invitation to scratch its neck. And he/she enjoys it. I get the occasional bite, but it is not aggressive. Does beading indicate other behaviours?

Also, the other ringneck gets attracted to the beaded eye and tries to bite at it sometimes.
