I have a 9 week old ringneck. We got him a week and a half ago. Besides the fact that I can't get him to eat anything but sunflower seeds, he sleeps by clinging to the bars in a corner of the cage. not necessarily the same corner each night. Is this something I should be concerned about?

Thanks,
Jan

For a 9 week old bird you could try soaked (4 hrs) chick pea, they love it , additionally you can try boiled veggies (they eat very less but nevertheless you could try) , in case of chick pea you can break it into smaller pieces so that they can digest it easily.. good luck

Nothing wrong with that sleeping position. Some birds just like it. It might change with time, as well.

I find I keep a perch high in the cage, with just enough head room, and that's where Hane chooses to sleep. You can try providing a high sleeping perch.

I had this same problem with my bird gene (5 months)

Was an easy fix for me, Put two things your bird can rest on in the corner of the cage, My bird has gone from clinging to the corner to sitting comfortably on a little perch in the front right corner of the cage.

hope this helps!
