After a week, Ringo will now step up on a perch, will even lift his foot when he sees it coming towards him, the problem i have is i have to chase him around the outside of his cage to get him on his playstand so i can then get him to step up. Then when he does step up before i can bring him closer to my body and away from the playstand, he jumps back onto it... this is very frustrating. I have tried with my hands which he does step up onto but constantly flutters and again jumps straight back onto the playsand or jumps to the floor..
Please can somebody give me advice............I am loosing hope here.............

Have you tried coaxing him with treats? Rewards, rewards rewards. No different than a child. Give them lots of praise, and lots of treats. Loki will run around away from my hand sometimes, so I coax him to my hand or my shoulder with treats. After he's gotten there, he's fine. But he is VERY jumpy with hands, that's just his personality.
