My Indian Ring Neck is two years old. He is noisy, messy, and a dilligent chewer, but he is a good talker. We all love him, except for the dogs. I don't know why he dislikes even friendly dogs, although he doesn't accept other birds as well. Maybe he believes himself to be human. There's one thing I like most about Coco: even though he sometimes bites, he never harmed my two year old, who constantly annoys him.

About the noise....... try a Red Lored Amazon.... it will screech you right out of the house!! I find that the whistles don't bother me much & his chatter is facinating. You gotta love these birds
