We pick up our 2 fids 2moro i was just reading about RO water and i was wondering what that was ??? Also is tap water ok for my birds or do i have to use a specific water ??? after all my reading from this awesome site (thanks so much it so informative) ive got the food and housing all sorted but not the water ....

I just give my guys normal tap water. I would imagine South Australian water would be of similar quality. When I asked my vet about adding supplements to the water he didn't seem to think it was necessary if they get a good and varied diet and if they are not in contact with wild birds.

Brought our 2 fids home and they are settling in nicely eating , drinking and playing with their toys so very happy

That's great... usually it will take some time for them to settle in... so it's good if they're settling in already.

I'm so happy that they ate settling in great but the pet shop
I got them from only gave them seed so I'm trying to introduce them
to fruit and veg but they are very aggressive atm biting alot but I'll
just leave them alone for a cpl of days and see how they go

You could try cutting the fruit & veg small & rolling it in with their seed. It shouldn't take long for them to get a taste for it.

Oh that sounds like a good idea The pet shop only gave them grapes and apples and seed but no veggies but I will persevere I put the cover on their cage at 7pm and I heard not a sound from 7:15pm lol they where very tired birds I brought them 2toys and a rope hanging thingie and they loved it they are roughly 3 month old and have been in the pet shop ever since they came out of the egg so they haven't had very much ppl interaction and no toys so they where exhausted by bedtime

I usually put my guys to bed at sundown any way. Mine are happy with that but not all bird owners do it that way.
