10yr old green ringneck
my ringneck is a ten year old green female. she is extremely atatched to me. when shes out she almost never leaves my side and if it is its usualy because she wants something from me. she gets very upset at the sight of other people and will do what ever she can to let it be known. she'll shoot poop squawk and if she can she'll attack until i intervene. my girlfriend has been living with me for 2 years now and she has finaly stoped attacking her and being social. also she just doesnt seem to care about learning any human words though its clear she understands quite alot. does anyone know how i can get her to be more social and also how i can get her to start talking if its not to late.

You can try to get your bird to be more social by getting her to associate treats with having others around. When you have guests, you can try getting them to offer her her fav treat. If she won't take it out of their hands, let them put the treat in with her food but make sure she sees them do it.
That's one strategy to try. I'm sure there are others!

Does your bird have a cage? Perhaps you should cage your bird when you have people over and do the treat thing whilst in the cage? In my previous comment, I assumed that your bird was in its cage.
What do you think sparks the attacks? Jealousy - she wants all your attention. Boredom - it's a call for attention. Territorial - these are intruders to her space. Something else? Once you've figured out the trigger, it may be easier to figure out the best way to alter the behaviour.
