Introducing a female for the first time to my male

We have a 8 year old blue female coming to live with us (in 2 days time). I currently have a 7 year old green male and I would like for them to live together. Its not necessarily for bredding purposes, I just think it would be nice for Zazu to have a girlfriend. The female Bindi needed rehoming and I thought we would invite her to live with Zazu. Apparently she has had a green male partner in the past but he past away a while ago.
How do I introduce her to my boy Zazu?
Should I set her up in a smaller cage next to his big one, or do i pop her straight in?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
