Odd behavior? Is our IRN sick or depressed?

Post by Pete_and_meeks »

Our IRN is 6 months old, we have had him for just over a week now. he came from an avairy and was not tame but we have since trained him to feed from our hand and he is making progress in learning to step up. just today we have noticed that for most of the afternoon he has just been sitting in the one spot on his perch and not moving, sometimes tucking his head in for naps. but he is still grooming throughout the day and eating and drinking as normal. what could this be? is he becoming ill or depressed? he isnt snzeezing. so im unsure if hes unwell or just a little tired?

I would suspect he is tired, as long as he is eating and drinking normally and there isn't any discharge from his nose or eyes. Just keep an eye on him. I panic when there are small changes in my fids as well, but sometimes you just have to relax, keep a close eye and not over react. I can't tell you how many times I've taken my baby to the vet and paid tons of money for tests, all of which came up negative because I over reacted to the small changes in him.. :D
