Sneezing

Post by jen5239 »

Got a question. Remmi sneezed twice today and I got "snot" (?) on my arm. It looked like it could've been water. And if I hadn't been holding him for almost a half hour before he did this I might have thought it was. But it couldn't have been. Is this something I should be concerned about??

Many say there shouldnt be any snot but a time or two Baby has snotted me. Watch for nasal drainage. Dont worry much. Not 'suppose' to but somehow she has. I dont even think they have sinuses? Know nothing about bird anatomy except beak = bite hehe

Yep, they have sinuses. Was the discharge clear? Has it happened again?

Couldve been dust irritating the sinus... if its clear I wouldnt worry terribly. However, if it happens a lot... worry :(

If its ever colored, worry a lot.

Thanks you guys,
It was very clear. Looked like water. He just sneezed two or three times almost in a row and the first one was when the snot shot out of his little nose. And he hasn't done it since and it was the first time that had happened. So I'll keep my eyes open for coloration or continuation.

Its very possible he just irritated his sinuses. Buddy stuck his head behind some books in my bookcase the other day... back where I don't dust. He came out with a grey head LOL, and sneezing to clear his nares.

As long as it stays clear, and its not a really common thing for him to sneeze... your ok :)
