Black beak?

hello 
I have a 12 month old Male ringneck, he is lovely!
today i saw one online that was free so i went to have a look at her, she has been kept in a tiny cage for 7 years and not allowed out and only fed sunflower seeds! I felt so sorry for her so i brought her home....
The only thing is, she has a black beak, my other ringneck has a red beak...is a black beak normal?
She looks healthy otherwise, feathers are all fine, shes a tad over weight tho
Any advice would be so welcome, im worried she may be ill?
