hi everybody I have pair of lutino ringneck and I was wondering on how to know the age of the bird and if it ready to breed? one of the birds has a ring but the other is not.
how can I know if the other is not a young bird?
This female doesn't attack the male and doesn't chase him like the other females that I got they are too calm and stands next to each other always and the female is not aggressive at all!.
The female has a ring in her eye but its thinner than the ring in the male's eye.
so what should I do to be sure that I have a female that is ready to breed?
I am thinking to do DNA test for her but it wont tell me her age

so what do you think?
is there are any way to know how old is she? or just if she is adult female? (I mean not the age exactly)

You can never determine the age of an adult hen. I advise that an avian vet surgically sex it and give you a report on his/her reproductive condition.

but doesn't the behavior that the female doesn't attack the male and they are too lovely is a good thing? and it doesn't say that they are 100% male and female? or this should make me sure that the female is too young that is the reason why they are so? what is the explanation of this behavior?

any ideas?

Compatibility is good. That does not mean the bird is of the opposite sex.
