Recording sound from board

Hey,
I'm not real computer savvy, so this may be a stupid question. But is there a way to record the sound from the videos that we've all submitted? When I play some of these videos my babies just go bonkers. So I was thinking maybe if I could record the sound and play for them maybe they'd pick up on some of the whistles and speaking that some of your babies do! Any idea if this is do-able? And if so how would I do it?

Thanks,
Jen

Hehehe I would like to know this too...Prinny loves Datsun's videos. She goes nuts when she hears them and has even started to pick up on some of the sounds...

Well I have a program called camtasia that records any video and audio stream that runs on your computer. But then I don't know how to share that with you.

Then there is the basic windows sound recorder you could just put the mic up against the speakers and hit record, but I think the length of the recording is limited to 60 seconds ?.

Or.. we could all form a yahoo chat room IRN chat .. where we could voice and chat and send each other the streams we are interested in. But time differences might make that hard. You could pm and share eachothers IM's and send files ot each other.

Let me think more on it .. or anyone else have ideas ??

I've never tried it, but if your running windows XP you have a program (it comes with) called Movie maker. It breaks movies down into two streams, audio and video. You might be able to pull the audio track out for later use, combining a bunch of it?

I'd take a look and tell ya, but I am running sooooo late. Gotta be out of the house in 40 minutes and not even dressed yet...

Thanks you guys. I'll keep this in mind and try. I would love to be able to audio tape Datsun and Loki and maybe my babies could start talking and whistling like that. I love it!

Yep, with movie maker you can record video and audior or either/or. But you record via your web camera or video camera that is plugged into to your computer, not live stream playing in your browser.

Going to ask around, if there is a way or the best way, without a capping program to do this.

Hi, Just seen this one. I have viewed sound clips and video clips through windows media player. My IRN also goes bonkers when I play them. He's only 10 weeks old but loves them. From Windows media player you can burn the sounds onto a disk. I then play them while I am out, company for him, lol :D Hope this helps also
