I really get confused about colour mutations so please bare with me...

I have crossed my Albino male with my Pastel Blue female

I was lucky enough to get three different colours - Albino (I think female because of the pink eyes), Blue and Pastel Blue.

My questions are -

I have always understood Pastel Blue to be a combination of blue and green colouring. Is this correct?
Is it also referred to as Turquoise?

I have included a picture of my Blue baby is he a true Blue or another colour?

What dose ino mean?

Thank you for any help.

Pastel Blue was the old name for the Turquoise Blue. It is very confusing regarding the naming of them and even the experts cant agree. There are several similar mutations. Turquoise, Indigo, Aqua, Emerald are some of them. It isnt a combination of Blue and Green, but a Blue bird with the Turquoise Mutation. Turquoise seems to be the most common.

Your Blue bird appears to be a normal Blue.

Ino is used as a term when refering to Albino's (Blue series) or Lutino's (Green series).

The pastel or turquoise is not a combination of green and blue. It is a primary mutation and is co dominant with blue...ie when pastel is paired to blue then both mutations can manifest in their offspring....the blue offspring however cannot be split for pastel.
