Male goes in nest box and female won't

Is this normal? He is flirting and nesting. We have yet to see her in the nest box. Thank you!

Hi there that is common, how old is the hen and how old is the male.
When a hen is not mature they tend not to investigate the nest box inside as much as the
males do.

The previous owner had them 3 years. He didn't know their age when he got them.

The male makes sure its safe for a while first.

I'm guessing you were right! She went in the box today and he is sitting outside of it singing his little heart out lol. Think we'll have eggs in a week or so?
