I don't know if a mirror would affect his learning to talk or not. I wouldn't think so, my 6 month old baby is learning to talk and babbles away and he has a mirror in his cage. And also another caged bird right next to him to talk to. A lot of times when you don't think they are picking up words or learning to speak, they are practicing when you're not there. My bedroom is downstairs and when I leave the room to go upstairs, I can hear my little guy going crazy down there talking away! Practicing "what ya doing" but right now it sounds like "whatta do!" Just be persistent and give lots of praise/treats when he begins to practice. Also, talk to him a LOT! Hope that helps,

um...
(new & nervous)
um.... i have 3 budgies at home and they chatter away all day. there isn't a sing second wen they're not making a racket.
and they're just so loud...!
i love listening to them... but will their constant chattering affect my irn's teaching lessons?
will it b an obstacle for him to talk?
(and if this helps: the budgies are not hand trained or anything. u might call them 'wild'. and there is no room in our house where they CANT b herd)
any help anyone?
plz?
